MAC Executive Director/CEO Jeff Hamiel joined Delta Vice President Bill Lentsch, Pinnacle Airlines CEO Ryan Gumm and Deputy Commissioner of Economic Development Robin Sternberg at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, officially opening Pinnacle’s new headquarters in Minnesota. The airline recently moved its headquarters from Memphis, TN, to the Building C Tower on the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) campus after being acquired by Delta Air Lines.

The move was something of a homecoming for a number of Pinnacle employees. Pinnacle purchased Minnesota-based Mesaba Airlines and merged the two operations in Memphis in January 2012. The relocation of Pinnacle’s headquarters to MSP is ultimately expected to result in the addition 400 new jobs in Minnesota.

Also Wednesday, Pinnacle CEO Ryan Gumm announced that Pinnacle’s name would change to Endeavor Air, marking a new beginning for the airline, which emerged from bankruptcy in May. Endeavor Air will fly under the Delta Connection banner.
