MSP employee of the year recipients announced

Three Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) employees were recognized through the Airport Foundation MSP’s Employee of the Year program at the May 18 MAC Commission meeting.

The Employee of the Year Award was created to honor MSP employees who provide outstanding customer service. Fondly called “The Dorothy” in honor of 60-year MAC employee Dorothy Schaeffer, this award is given annually to three employees nominated by their peers.

Congratulations to this year’s Employee of the Year recipients:

George Callow

George Callow, Transportation Security and Administration (TSA)

Through his work as a TSA officer, George Callow works to ensure all travelers at MSP have safe trips. He’s also volunteered to be a passenger support specialist to help passengers with special needs feel comfortable with the screening process. To ensure these passengers are prepared to travel, he often comes to work well before his shift starts to reach out to these individuals and confirm their travel plans.

Natalie ForsbergNatalie Forsberg, St. Croix Airport Retail

Natalie is the general manager at St. Croix Airport Retail. She was nominated for her thoughtful care of each and every customer, which she demonstrates on a daily basis. Natalie has been known to go as far as researching other stores’ products to help a customer find exactly what she was looking for.

LaTricia Tremble

LaTricia Tremble, Sun Country Airlines

LaTricia Tremble has a knack for making each and every customer she encounters feel valued. As a station agent for Sun Country Airlines, she often remembers her previous customers’ names, asks about their families, and checks in with them about their trips. She’s been known to make sure passengers from all airlines find their way and works to ensure all MSP travelers have the best airport experience possible.

This year’s recipients, as in previous years, received a $1,000 check, trophy, and certificate for their efforts.
