Sixth annual MSP Employee Art Show opens Nov. 23

More than 100 local artists submitted pieces to the sixth annual Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) Employee Art Show, which is scheduled to open on Monday, Nov. 23 and will run through April 15, 2016.

The exhibit, located at the Thomson Reuters Concourse C Art Gallery in Terminal 1-Lindbergh, features art created by a representation of MSP employees, volunteers and their families. The show is made up of a diverse array of art including sculptures, paintings, photography and crafts. By having the exhibit at MSP, the "in house" exhibitors have the unique opportunity to display their artwork to an international audience of thousands.

An awards ceremony and reception for the participants, sponsored by the National Arts Program, will take place on Friday, December 4. At the event, Jeff Hamiel, executive director/CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, and Robyne Robinson, Arts @ MSP director for the Airport Foundation MSP, will present awards to the top artists in several categories, as well as recognize all participants.
