Recycling/Waste Management
Recycling/Waste Management
Waste is an unfortunate byproduct of any large industrial facility. Efficient and proper waste management provides financial, as well as economic, benefits. The Metropolitan Airports Commission is dedicated to protecting the environment and conserving resources for future generations.
Sustainability Challenges
Over 40 million travelers pass through the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in a given year. In addition, airline tenants and the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) together employ many thousands of workers, all of whom generate waste in the course of their activities. Managing waste at MSP is a formidable challenge but is also a significant opportunity for the MAC to manage waste in an efficient manner to minimize its impact to the environment.
Back-of-House Waste Videos
