The MAC upgrades its online solicitations process

The MAC recently moved its solicitations process to a new eProcurement platform, providing contractors or those responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) with a streamlined bidding system and improved communication functionality.

A link on the MAC’s solicitations page now takes users to the cloud-based eProcurement app. “The new virtual platform will improve our bidding and RFP processes, and it will help reduce cycle times as well,” said Eduardo Valencia, the MAC’s chief information officer.

The MAC uses the solicitations process to advertise opportunities and seek bids for construction work, consulting projects and a range of other contracted services. All MAC solicitations going forward will appear on the new platform.

The MAC staff in Purchasing and other departments who regularly issue solicitations have been trained on the platform. The MAC’s business partners and website visitors are encouraged to register at the app to receive notifications of new opportunities and place bids.

Access for MAC employees to the new solicitations portal

MAC employees can obtain view-only access to requests for proposals and similar listings on the new website, including the ability to ask questions about an active project and download supporting materials. If interested, please visit this link and submit a ServiceNow request. You will then receive a confirmation email confirming your role as an Organization Observer and the option to “View Projects.”

MAC contractors can visit the new solicitations portal directly to register and view filings.
