Terminal 1 roadways undergoing summer maintenance

Maintenance work may cause traffic delays on Terminal 1 roadways this summer.

Crews have completed a necessary replacement of the expansion joints on the upper east roadway and began work on the west ticketing curb this week.

To alleviate congestion on the departures level, the east roadway will temporarily serve all guests. Signage will guide drivers through the construction area, and passengers will be directed up and over the skyway to the ticketing lobby.

The project has been phased strategically to minimize disruption and maintain safety for workers and guests alike. While work on the west curb will take place in the evenings, traffic control barriers will remain in place each week from Monday night through Saturday morning. Drivers are asked to exercise patience and allow extra time when dropping off or picking up passengers.

The project is expected to conclude in September. For more information about this and other construction projects around the airport, visit the MSP Airport construction page.
