How to apply for a REAL ID at MSP; federal enforcement starts May 7
The move to a REAL ID requirement takes on new significance this spring, as federal enforcement starts on May 7 nationally.
If you don’t already have a REAL ID, it’s a good idea to apply soon, especially if you have upcoming air travel plans. Demand and processing times are expected to increase as May approaches. But don’t panic — you can still use a passport or another federally approved form of identification to board domestic flights.
